One of the most popular breakfasts in Spain is bread with tomato. We show you 3 different ways of preparing this simple and healthy recipe in the traditional way.

INGREDIENTS

  • Tomatoes at their optimum ripeness
  • Day-old bread or toasted rustic bread
  • 1 clove of garlic (only in Tumaca Bread)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt 

DIRECTIONS

1. Tumaca bread

  1. Crush the tomato with a grater.
  2. Add a good splash of olive oil. Reserve.
  3. On a slice of toasted bread, rub a clove of garlic cut in half.
  4. Spread the crushed tomato, oil and tomato mixture on top 
  5. Add a pinch of salt


2. Sliced tomato

  1. On a slice of toasted bread, add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  2. Place the thin slices of tomato on it 
  3. A pinch of salt


3. Diced tomato

  1. Dice a tomato into cubes of approximately the same size.
  2. On a slice of toasted bread, add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  3. Place the diced tomatoes
  4. A pinch of salt
