Apple toast

These sweet caramelised apple toasts with olive oil make a delicious breakfast. In 10 minutes you can enjoy this irresistible treat. A healthy, quick idea for a good start to the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • cinnamon
  • honey to taste
  • olive oil
  • 1 slice of bread

preparation

  • 1.

    Cut the apple into small slices. Place in a bowl and add the cinnamon, lemon juice and honey. Mix and set aside for a few minutes.

  • 2.

    In a frying pan add a little extra virgin olive oil, when hot add the reserved apples and allow to caramelise for a few minutes. Set aside

  • 3.

    Toast the bread on both sides in the same frying pan.

  • 4.

    Add a drizzle of olive oil on the toasted bread, place the caramelised apples, add some chopped walnuts and it’s ready to enjoy!
