5 Super-Powered Fresh Juice and Smoothie Recipes

We’ve developed some tasty juice and smoothie recipes with an added bonus: extra virgin olive oil.

Healthy oils, like extra virgin olive oil, are recommended for most diets as they contribute to good health in many ways, according to the Mayo Clinic, including lowering risk of heart disease, lowering cholesterol levels, and lowering risk of type 2 diabetes.

While a spoonful of olive oil can be delicious to some, others among us would rather blend it into something, like a salad dressing. Fresh juices and smoothies are a great place to add a tablespoon of olive oil into your diet. With that in mind, we’ve developed some delicious fresh juice and smoothie recipes for you to try, but with an added bonus: extra virgin olive oil. Try them and let us know what you think!

Juice with Olive Oil Method:  

Wash, peel and prepare your fruits and veggies, according the recipes below, juice them using a kitchen juicer, add a tablespoon of olive oil to the juicestir, and add a few ice cubes to chill. Drink up and enjoy the health and energy benefits that come from dosing up on fresh plants!

Detox Juice
 
- 2 green apples
- 1 stalk of celery 
- 2 kiwis
- ½ inch fresh ginger 
- 1 tablespoon La Española Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Antioxidant Juice

- 2 oranges
- 1 beetroot
- 2 carrots
- 1 tablespoon La Española Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Vitamin Juice

- 2 oranges
- 1 lime
- 2 kiwis
- 1 tablespoon La Española Extra Virgin Olive Oil 

Smoothie with Olive Oil Method:  

Wash, peel and prepare your fruits and veggies, according the recipes below. Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pour into a glass and add a few ice cubes to chill. 
 
Fat Burning Smoothie

- Half of a pineapple
- 2 bananas
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 inches fresh ginger, juiced
- 1 cup of cold water
- 1 tablespoon La Española Extra Virgin Olive OIl 

Mediterranean Smoothie

- 2 tomatoes
- 10 strawberries
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
- Pinch of sugar (just a little bit to reduce tomato acidity)
- Pepper and salt at taste
- 1 cup of cold water
- 1 tablespoon La Española Extra Virgin Olive OIl
