5 Instagram Accounts to Inspire Your Meals

2017-02-08

Instagram is a great place to find the inspiration you need to prepare beautiful healthy meals!

Instagram is full of ideas, whether it’s for travel, home decor or meals. In our opinion, Instagram is a great place to find the inspiration you need to prepare beautiful healthy meals. Many food bloggers share their eye-catching plates and mouth watering recipes on Instagram, so if you’re looking to improve your cooking and plating skills or for delicious recipes that will help you eat healthier meals, we recommend you follow these accounts!

1) Minimalist Baker @minimalistbaker

With over 680K followers, @MinimalistBaker is a food blogging powerhouse and for good reason: her recipes are delicious and simple to make, each recipe having 10 ingredients or less, requiring less than 30 minutes to prepare, or only one bowl, hence the name ‘Minimalist Baker’. Although don’t be fooled by the ‘baker’ in her name, she posts meals, drinks, and lots more, in addition to baked goods.

We especially loved her Crispy Smashed Potatoes with Garlic Pesto, definitely a crowd pleaser!

2) Ali Ebright @gimmesomeoven

Ali Ebright is the creative food blogger behind the Instagram account @GimmeSomeOven. She prides herself on developing healthy recipes that are quick to make and ideal for sharing. Similar to La Española, Ali believes that time spent around the table with the people we love should be celebrated and cherished, and, of course, should include delicious food that makes the memories that much sweeter (and savoury too).

We recommend trying Ali’s Strawberry Avocado Spinach Salad with Poppyseed Dressing.

3) Andrea Bemis @andreabemis

Farmer, recipe developer, author and self-described ‘Eater’, Andrea Bemis is the woman behind the food blog Dishing Up The Dirt and the inspiring Instagram account @andreabemis. A devoted farm-to-table foodie, Andrea shares recipes made from simple, locally grown ingredients, that will wow your taste buds!

There is an art to perfectly frying an egg, we suggest you try Andrea’s recipe for Fried Egg with Lemon Yogurt and Green Garlic, she got the art perfected!

4) Christine Wong @conscious_cooking

Motivated to establish healthy eating habits in her children, Christine Wong studied integrative nutrition and began a food blog to document and share with other families what she learned. What began as a personal interest ultimately turned into a lifelong passion for nutrition and health-coaching. Christine’s Instagram @conscious_cooking is a go to resource for parents looking for healthy dishes.

With warmer weather on the way, we recommend trying Christine’s recipe for Gazpacho. Yum!

5) Ashley Alexander @gatherandfeast

Prepare to for a feast for the eyes because Ashley’s Instagram page @gatherandfeast truly turns food into art; her food styling is stunning and inspiring in its simplicity. However, rest assured that Ashley’s recipes are just as delicious as her food styling makes them seem. You will be let down by her amazing recipes, whether traditional recipes or new takes on the classics.

Next time you need to make a dessert we highly recommend making Ashley’s Chocolate Semifreddo with Chili, Strawberry, Olive Oil and Rose.
