2022-01-28

Get your best version! the foundations of a healthy and balanced lifestyle are here. Don't miss out!

We know what you’re thinking - “oh, great. Just another blog telling me I need to eat healthier and exercise more. Like I don’t already know” and you would partially be right, but being a better version of yourself involves more than just eating well and exercising. For instance sleeping better, drinking more water, just to name a few, are also excellent tips for a healthier lifestyle in 2022!

Because we know it can be hard to keep up with new year’s resolutions, let’s work to set goals that are attainable, self-sustained, and long-lasting - See Below 7 tips that can help you achieve your healthiest self in 2022

1. Focus on self-care

Motivating yourself to be productive every day requires you to care for yourself first. It’s not limited to just how you look but also how you feel. Focus on your mental well-being as much as your physical well-being.

2. High-quality Sleep is a must!

Having a good sleeping routine, as well as waking up around the same time every morning, it's imperative for a healthy lifestyle and successful self-improvement. We are not talking about a highly rigid routine, but try your best to stay within a 30-minute window each night and morning. Additionally, you should also consider turning off all electronic devices at least an hour before bedtime for maximum results and comfort.

3. Limit your alcohol intake

You may think a drink or two at social events does no harm to your body but the truth is, eventually it all adds up when your health goes south. So, try to limit your alcohol intake as much as possible and opt for a tangy lemonade instead!

4. Make sure to eat veggies/Fruit

Whether you’re trying to lose a few pounds or just improve your overall health, vegetables are a key source of nutrients necessary for your success. Fiber-rich veggies are especially important, as they are critical for a healthy heart and strong veins. You may even want to throw in some citrus fruits high in vitamin C; like oranges, grapefruit, or clementines. While vitamin C-rich foods help promote collagen production and help protect during flu season.

5. Ditch the sedentary lifestyle

Be it at home, your work desk, or at home at your work desk, make sure to move from time to time and avoid sitting for long hours. A sedentary lifestyle is closely linked to increased risks of cardiovascular diseases as well as obesity. Additionally, if you don’t already exercise, aim to do 10 minutes each day. If you do currently exercise, add 10 extra minutes to your routine.

6. Be careful with work burnout.

Take your breaks for traveling and “staycations” as often as you are able! Limit the number of days you wake up super early or stay late at night and make sure you interact with family and friends on a regular basis. Also, when you’re away from work, avoid checking emails and voicemails, if possible.

7. Drink Lots Of Water

We all know hydration is extremely important at all times! Make it a rule to drink at least eight glasses, or two liters, of water daily, and don’t forget to add electrolytes if you workout regularly.

Each year, there is a desire in each one of us to do better than we did the previous year, especially when it comes to taking care of our bodies and, thereby, our health and mind. With the added emphasis on health, it's more important than ever to make those healthy resolutions a must and stick to them as much as possible.
