We’ve attended some fantastic foodie events recently, including the brilliant BBC Good Food Show and our own exclusive tasting at Hispania restaurant in London. As well as an excuse to feast on some fabulous food, this also gave us the chance to speak to some of you!

We discovered two things from our chats together. Firstly, you’re all wonderful people with great taste in food! Secondly, we found that many of you were eager to learn new ways to use our olive oil!

So, this post is a shout out to all those who would like a little inspiration…


What can I make with olive oil?

Olive oil has a whole range of applications – fantastic facial and healthy hair masks merely scratch the surface of how you could put our oil to good use. But today we’re going to focus on the tastiest answers to this surprisingly common question. How else can I use olive oil when cooking?

To answer this properly we have to point out that, even within the kitchen, olive oil is incredibly varied and versatile. This is one of the reasons La Española offer a comprehensive catalogue of olive oil products!

La Española Pure Olive Oil

La Española Pure Olive Oil is characterised by a mild flavour and beautifully-subtle aroma. It is perfect for cooking due to its higher smoking point. This makes it our go-to oil for grilling meats and roasting veg.

Looking for inspiration? A perfect place for the Pure Olive Oil would be in a lovely Lentil, Chorizo and Vegetable Stew! We suggest warming the olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the chorizo and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chorizo releases its own oil.
